Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will gather athletes from around the globe for three weeks full of celebration and competition 3️⃣. Path to Excellence a new Olympic sport development program launched by the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) in advance of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will invest $20 million over four years in the development of Olympic sport athletes, coaches, and officials in Canada 🇨🇦 🍁 ️ 🆕 4️⃣. The COC has also partnered with the Canadian Olympic Foundation the Canadian Paralympic Committee and the Canadian Network of Sport Organizations to help raise funds to support the development of Olympic sport athletes coaches and officials.
At the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Canada will be represented by athletes in 28 sports including 14 team sports and 14 individual sports 🇨🇦. Canada is expected to be competitive in many of the sports with athletes competing for medals in track and field swimming, hockey, gymnastics, rowing, archery, canoe/kayak, fencing, and equestrian 🇨🇦.
