Canada’s Recovery Sickness Benefit is a financial assistance program that was recently established by Canada in response to the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Applicants will be asked to provide proof of their eligibility, such as proof of employment, and medical documentation.
The government has designed this program to provide additional financial assistance to those who were not able to access EI due to the lack of necessary insurable hours. The CRB provides up to $1,000 per month, up to a maximum of $14,000, for up to a period of 18 months 🆙 ️.
