GGC’s mission it to be Canada’s premier organization for girls/women is to provide a program that challenges young girls and women to discover their voices explore their world take action and make a positive difference in the lives and lives of others. GGC offers five program areas–Outdoor Experiences Health & Life Skills Creative Expression STEM and Entrepreneurship–that girls can design their own experience from! Furthermore there is a variety of activities and special events both locally and beyond that include camping canoeing and kayaking; science programs; first aid/wilderness survival; music art photography cultural exchange experiences & more–that help boost girls’ confidence levels build meaningful relationships & develop leadership & communication abilities 🏕️ 🎨 5️⃣ ️. Through these opportunities girls gain confidence build meaningful relationships while building leadership & communication abilities at GGC!
GGC’s core values include respect integrity and service to others. Girls are encouraged to be creative and innovative and to work within a framework of collaboration cooperation, and inclusivity ️. Girls also learn to advocate for themselves and their peers and to respect the rights of others . GGC promotes a safe and healthy lifestyle along with the importance of physical mental, and emotional well-being ️.
GGC is also committed to environmental stewardship . GGC encourages girls to become eco-conscious citizens taking action to create a cleaner and healthier world. GGC’s Eco-Action program offers girls the opportunity to take part in a variety activities that promote sustainable living just like gardening composting and reducing their waste. GGC also offers eco badges and eco challenges to help girls learn about the environment and become environmental stewards .
GGC is committed to encouraging girls and young women to reach their full potential through various mentoring and leadership programs 👩. Girls are given the chance to make a difference in their communities learn new skills and develop into confident capable leaders with well-equipped resources 🆕 ️. Furthermore, girls have the chance to join advocacy initiatives, provide input on issues that matter most to them, or even become part of GGC’s national team!
