The show is divided into five main stages: the audition round mystery box challenge pressure test elimination challenge and finale 5️⃣. Eric Chong an amateur chef won the 2019 season of MasterChef Canada. Chong a Toronto-native was the first home chef to win MasterChef Canada. Chong competed against nine other amateur chefs in the final. His winning dish was a Chinese-style pork loin with spicy crispy noodles, sticky black bean sauce, and a sticky peanut butter sauce.
