The vehicle featured a turret-mounted machine gun a 37 mm gun and a several machine guns. The turret was capable of 360° rotation and the vehicle had a crew of up to five. The vehicle was designed to become amphibious and was equipped with a flotation screen that allowed it to travel in water.
Service
The Type 81 was first deployed to the European theater in April of 1941 . It was used by Canadian forces during the Invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge.
